Charges and commission

We offer a broad range of commission and charging options, giving you control over the level of commission required and the charges under a particular plan.

Annual Management Charge (AMC)

Internally managed funds

  • We have a choice of AMCs (depending on commission being taken) for our internally managed funds
  • 1% annual AMC for most internally managed funds/standard commission option


Externally managed funds

Commission structure

Term-dependent, reducing when term falls below 15 years.

Regulars

  • Level commission 3%
  • Initial commission 45% of LAUTRO
  • Fund-based commission 0.27%


Single payments and transfers

  • 5% initial commission
  • 0.45% fund based commission
  • Mixture of above
  • You can take up to 0.5% fund-based remuneration on regulars, singles and transfers by increasing the AMC on an explicit basis
  • Maximum limit of £6,000 that will be paid in initial commission
  • Any excess commission above this amount can be taken as fund-based commission or used to reduce the AMC. These depend on client's individual circumstances

Charges

  • Charge for managing and investing in the plan, which is taken on a regular basis
  • Our standard AMC is 1% for most internal funds
  • We may change the charges, for example, if costs turn out to be much higher than expected
  • External fund mangers have the power to change any charges on their funds
  • No charges* for transfer / paid up policies
  • No charges* for early / late retirement
  • Ability to start, stop or change contributions, usually without charge

*Market value reductions may apply if invested in the Unitised With-Profits Fund
