The likely reason for this is that your firm does not currently have terms of business with either Clerical Medical or Scottish Widows and therefore you will need to register for agency term through the online Adviserwise service.
For more information on agency terms please refer to our registration guidance.
If you are a Unipass user this is probably because your Unipass is currently linked to an expired account.

The first registrant of a firm will automatically assume the role of access controller/supervisor.
You will be asked to determine firm data access levels for yourself and all subsequent registrants.
The access controller/supervisor will be responsible for making sure future registrants from a firm are given appropriate access levels and responsible for notifying Scottish Widows of any changes to registrant details, for example when users leave or join a firm.
When future registrants request access to eServices, the access controller/supervisor will be notified and in some cases authorisation will be required before their access is enabled.
There are two levels of access available within eServices. The access controller/supervisor holds the responsibility on behalf of your firm to decide which level is set.
Firm level access
- All users will be able to view all agency and policy data under your Firms FSA reference number
- If you are a network member this will be your appointed representative firm reference number (AR FRN)
- If you are not a network member this will be the Principle FSA Firm Reference number (PA FRN)
- In the event new agencies are created or removed, user access will automatically update to reflect any changes
User defined access
- You will be specifying that future registrants will not default to firm level access
- All registrants will be required to specify an agency level and input agency numbers to which access will be associated. Future changes to their access will need to be requested and in some cases subject to authorisation from the access controller/supervisor
It is important that the correct access levels are specified at this stage as changes beyond this point could interrupt access to eServices.
During step 4 of the initial registration, you will now be asked to determine access levels for yourself and subsequent registrants as follows
- The level to which users are able allocate firm agency codes for writing new business
- The level to which users will be able to view existing client s and policy data held under your Firms FSA reference number
If you are in any doubt as to whether you are entitled to fulfil this role, please contact the individual at your firm who holds responsibility for controlling access to data. The appropriate individual will be required to complete registration on behalf of your firm.
Yes. The online accounts are held under the FSA number so if that changes the old accounts will no longer work.
